This painting is a typical case of my work naturally progressing and changing as I let the painting lead the way. I have been painting modernist designs of late, with a few floral designs most recently that have morphed into this more contemporary style. The idea was that the flowers were fading, and in shadow, at the bottom of the painting, gradually becoming more colourful and brighter towards the top.
