I have absolutely no idea what this is. I just had the uncontrollable urge to apply paint to a canvas, so I grabbed any old painting I could find, and just started painting over it. This is not unusual for me. Many an innocent painting has been lost to this compulsion to paint on anything I can get my hands on. I like to let the painting create itself to start with, and once I see what is happening, I take over. I also like experimenting with different colour combinations, so this is probably my main contribution to the painting. I also find simple relaxing pleasure in painting for the pure sake of painting, with no goal or idea in mind.
Please note that there is a lot of texture, and character to this painting due to the several layers of paint from the old painting underneath. I also considered re-stretching this painting onto a new frame, but decided I liked the old feel to it. This is an intentional choice by me to keep the "patina" of such an unusual piece of art.
