This painting is from my series inspired by the beautiful deep colours of the ocean and the mesmerising movement of shimmering schools of fish. In this painting the school of fish dive into the depths with the sun filtering through the water above. I resist the urge to paint the fish realistically, to highlight the fleeting movement and energy in the scene.
