One of my very first paintings, painted soon after "Lady In Red". As with all of my early paintings, very much inspired by The Impressionists. The use of the colour Vermillion in the flowers in her hair is a classic impressionist technique, especially as it contrasts against all the green in the painting. This painting sat, stored away for 20 years, before I dusted it off and showed it to the internet world, and it sold straight away.
