I have been painting fish, and the ocean for many years, but I mostly work in oils because the slow drying time allows me flexibility to move the paint, and the fish around the canvas. But, I painted this one in Acrylics, and it was quite a challenge keeping the painting moving while the paint was drying in front of my eyes. So there is lots of energy, and movement in this fleeting painting. I also reduced my colour palette to simply Pthalo Blue, Black and White to avoid getting carried away with too many colour temptations.
