Every now and then a special painting happens. "Cows In The Mist" is one of those paintings. At the time I had only just started to paint again after a long lay off due to 3 small children coming into my life. I had a rare kid free morning and had been inspired by a photo that a friend (thanks Lara) had posted on Facebook. The moment I saw the moody photo of cows in a Tasmanian paddock, I knew I had to paint it. I could see the finished painting in my mind. I scratched together whatever painting supplies I had, including a very limited colour range (thankfully). Knowing I only had a few hours child free, I painted it as quickly as I could. I stood back to look at it, intending to "finish" the painting, but decided to leave it as it was. Spotted by friends, they bought it straight away before the paint was even dry. I have since had countless requests, and comments for more of the same. I have done a few similar versions, but none are as good as this one.
Print reproductions are available of this painting.
