Jellyfish were my original marine subject inspired by the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I have painted a few of them, but it is very hard to capture the translucent, glow that they have. This one is slightly abstract, and I used the natural blank canvas to create the highlights by removing the paint with pallet knife, brush and sponge. No white paint at all.
