This is a typical painting of mine that evolved from nowhere in particular. Just playing with paint, and colour. After way too much paint was poured onto the canvas I started swirling the paint with a brush to form ripples, and the colour blended into grey, with highlights of all the colours in the thick peaks of the paint. It is definitely a one-off, never to be re-created, either in paint or print. I was unsure if it reminded me of a brain pattern, or maybe even large intestines! But, thought better of that for a title so settled on mud ripples at low tide. This is a very interesting painting that needs to be viewed in real life, preferably at close range to appreciate the action going on.
